"Unseen Narratives – C" Organic Modern Portrait by Scott Runkel
By revealing only fragments of subjects, I encourage an exploration into the enigmatic, the unspoken, and the unseen. This approach offers a visually abstracted representation of the human form, a representation that invites viewers to consider the multiplicity of narratives and interpretations that can emerge from a single, partially obscured image. This exploration serves as a metaphor for the complexity of human nature.
In my work, I use various mediums explore the partiality of human perception and the hidden depths of individual identity. I experiment with strategic cropping and abstract shapes to obscure aspects of the human figure, thus challenging the viewer to confront what is absent as much as what is present.
